Account Deletion Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026 · Document version: LT07-2026-10-31-01

1. Request channels and verification

You can delete your account in the app from Profile > Settings > Delete my account; if you cannot access the app, you can apply to hesap-silme@lokaltenis.com. The same request function is available at lokaltenis.com/hesap-silme. Send a registered phone/e-mail or account ID sufficient to identify the account, together with a description of the request.

Identity is verified by a secure open session or a code sent to a registered channel. No SMS is required for an account registered only by e-mail. If access to the phone/e-mail has been lost, an alternative verification proportionate to the risk is offered; no unnecessary copies of identity documents are collected. Other legally valid application methods are reserved.

2. Closing access and the data deleted

Once verification is complete, account access and active sessions are closed and open profile publication stops. Active system data whose processing conditions have ended is deleted, destroyed or genuinely anonymised within 30 days at the latest. The request is concluded and the person informed within 30 days at the latest as well; shorter mandatory obligations are reserved.

This covers name/display name, phone/e-mail, password hash, biography/city/age information, approximate location, profile and post photos, ordinary content/messages, device and notification tokens and account links. Narrow legally required retention is explained separately below. Closing access to the account immediately does not mean that all legal archives and backups are destroyed at the same time.

3. Limited retention and match history

Tax/commercial documents, transaction and contract proof, evidence in specific disputes, necessary complaint/security records and records of deletion may be kept only with a valid legal ground, for the relevant period and with restricted access. Categories and periods are set out in the KVKK Privacy Notice. This data is not used to keep the account alive for marketing or to rebuild a profile.

Keeping match/tournament records with your name removed does not by itself amount to anonymisation. If they can be linked to you through the opponent, date, club, account number or other records, the rules on personal data apply. A proportionate solution needed for the rights of other players and the integrity of results is chosen; records are anonymised by removing the links where possible. Where data has to remain, the category, purpose and reason for retention are communicated to you.

In backups, deletion is completed within a cycle of at most 90 days; during this period the data is not opened for ordinary use. If a backup is restored, the deletion instructions are applied again. For data transferred to recipients, the necessary correction/deletion notice is given where the conditions are met.

4. Open transactions and subscriptions

A deletion request is not blocked entirely on the ground of an accrued debt or a refund dispute. The performance/cancellation of an open order and the necessary financial records are managed separately. Support and statutory remedy channels can still be used after the account is closed.

Because App Store/Google Play subscriptions are managed in the store, deleting the account may not cancel the renewal automatically. The deletion screen shows a subscription management link and a warning that billing may continue. Completing the deletion request is not made conditional on an unnecessary subscription-cancellation obstacle.

A deleted account cannot be restored as it was. Joining again creates a new account; the status of the old career and Premium entitlements is assessed separately according to valid records/store verification and statutory rights. The outcome and any reason for continued retention are communicated to the applicant.
